About
Adrienne Kitko was born and raised in Connecticut. She was invited by a friend to visit their family home that was located on an island off of Maine’s rocky coast, called Cliff Island. Falling in love with the salty, sweet air and nature’s pristine scenery, Adrienne constructed her plan to move to Portland, Maine.
However, she still had to finish up her Ceramics degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Adrienne gained teaching experience while working at a preschool during her undergraduate studies. This is when her passion for teaching was ignited and she knew it was time to combine her degree in art and love for teaching. Adrienne’s acceptance to Maine College of Art’s MAT program was the catalyst she needed to finally reside in the great state of Maine. Currently, Adrienne is an Admissions Counselor at MECA for BFA and MAT candidates, and teaches Ceramics in MECA’s Pre-College program. |
